This Bilbaina’s jersey, without a specific name, takes us back to the origins of cycling in Bizkaia. Founded in 1894, the S. C. Bilbaina is the dean of the Basque cycling societies, organizer, at one time, of the Grand Prix de Bilbao and promoter of countless races. The 2002 t-shirt displayed, in a classic blue and white design, pays tribute to more than a century of cycling history in Bilbao: from aristocrats on speedbikes to popular cyclist of the 20th century. The absence of a specific name makes it extended to all the partners who wore their colors, from the nineteenth-century pioneers to current cyclists. It is a recognition of the institution that sowed the seed of love for cycling in the capital of Biscay.
