The jersey of the Sociedad Ciclista Markina, signed by several members, highlights the rich quarry of the Markina-Xemein region in Bizkaia. This society, organizer of the San Miguel Proba and lower categories, saw the birth of notable cyclists (for example, the climber Julián Gorospe started in clubs near the area). The T-shirt signatures could include former players and local managers, symbolizing the club’s cohesion. The garment, with the red and black colors typical of Markina, when displayed in the museum, celebrates the contribution of this municipality to the Basque cycling tradition. It is a recognition of all the names, known and anonymous, which under the acronym S. C. Markina contributed to enlarge our sport.
