This jersey belongs to the team sponsored by El Diario Montañés, a Cantabrian newspaper that promoted regional cycling through its own club or sporting event. With no rider’s name printed on it, the jersey encapsulates the local media’s involvement in the sport and serves as a platform for young talent from Cantabria. Its display in the museum highlights the importance of these journalism-and-sport projects in promoting and sustaining grassroots cycling across different autonomous communities.
