The Festina team jersey bearing Iván Sastre’s name commemorates a young Spanish cyclist’s time with the Spanish-French squad in the 2000s. Sastre (not to be confused with his namesake, Carlos) was part of Festina-Lotus in 2000–2001, honing his skills during the team’s final years. Although he had no notable victories, Iván Sastre brought new energy to the team in the midst of the post-Virenque era. The jersey on display, with its characteristic yellow and blue colors, represents the anonymous domestiques who kept the Festina structure afloat until its dissolution in 2001, bearing witness to a moment of transition in cycling at the turn of the century.
